ORIGINAL: jamiesm redhot not ever herd of them wot do they consist of then They are both cereals. Quinoa especially is a very good protein source. You can cook both of them in a porridge type fashion. I do however get the impression that that's not what you're after, so maybe stick with cornflakes or rice crispies etc, but there's not nearly as much protein in those.

No its "Soya mince", vegetarians use it as a replacement for minced beef and other meat products. However its just a dry flavourless chrunchy protein packed food, so adding milk and sugar makes it taste like a nice cereal. You can add beef stock and make bolognese with tomatos etc, or whatever else you like. read more here quote:
ORIGINAL: RedHotF You are a cruel man Hey dont knock it till ya tried it , leave my soya mince alone!!!!!! ooh i looked for "keen wa" and couldnt find any, whats it priced like? ty quote:

If not, it's deffo in H&Bs and other health food stores. A little pricey but it is the "Mother of all grains" you see

Ive only seen it only at around £2 for 500g, rice is much much cheaper so ive not looked into quinoa. Try the soya mince in milk, just a ickle bit
