people want to distance themselves from someone that makes outlandish claims about humanity. One thing he does have though which others are extremely envious of, is the courage of his convictions and the power of his beliefs. He seems happy, you cant knock someone that has found a way to live a more fullfilling life, that just makes you a hater

I dont think that is why people dislike him at this moment in time. Plenty of people have these exact qualities and are loved for them.

Religous views and beliefs are often expressed by actors, many of them wear symbols of faith. They just dont go ramming it down other people throats, which i think is what gets people riled up about Cruise. He never seems to shut up about it.

No, he does seem bonkers. Not just his religous views, but how he acts in general. Thats exactly what the clip was about! When you act strange, expect criticism! I doubt Cruise is losing any sleep over this clip as he knows the rules, i fail to see why it bothers you so much.
