How the hell can you do a row with the bar behind your back??! You must mean a shrug, right?

NO! How is this so hard to understand??!! Right everbody, do as i say: Put your hands on your hips. Move them back a few inches so they are behing your hips. Grip your hands like your holding a bar. Move your hands from above your arse to your middle back. IT IS NOT A SHRUG! You are using your delts and some trap to move the bar, not purely trap, PLUS you are bending your arms at the elbow not keeping them straight like a shrug.

It is a rear shrug mate and how you describe it is how it's performed. Jay cutler super sets them with front and rear and calls them shrugs.

This is a rear shrug: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=19hmgx17zeY Arms straight using the traps to pull the weight up. Rear upright row that im talking about - closer grip, weight pulled up as far as you can with the elbows bent, using far more rear delt and tricep than trap.
