I went on my normal run the other morning... for the first time in months... training has been 'erratic' (read:non-existant) for a while. Anyway, I finished the first bit and was walking to the second stretch and noticed that my lower back was quite pumped up! Though nothing of it and did the second leg, but had to pull up half way through with pain in my back. The same thing happened the next morning. Really annoying. I've not significantly changed anything since I last ran a couple of months ago... why am I getting flash pumps in my back? I only run on grass, I take my time and run in a comfortable position (I don't lean forward or anything). I'm tempted to sack off the running and swim in the morning instead unless I can get this sorted.
