I hope she goes far. i'd agree with this completely. twitchy but at the same time exhibiting beauitful control evident in 'warwick avenue'

Tina Turner is something else!!!!!! good call. leona lewis... i agree that snow patrol cover wa pretty epic but i still dislike her maufacutured image and style. (and songs)

Quite like Jack Johnson, so I guess the more melodic guitar and voice kind of stuff. Osagi I recommend to you 'The Woman In You by Ben Harper' worth a listen

Ben Harper and the innocent criminals 'live from mars' double CD is tremendous, both cd's and box are worn down to nothing from so much use! how about older bands or bands form any era that you enjoy and i'll try and recomend you modern day stuff that you might like.

Tbh I enjoy quite a mix mate from Eric Clapton to the Chilli Peppers and Simply Red to UB40, all of which had that little something I like to call (in my best DJ voice) the 'relisten factor', meaning you can listen to their tracks over and over again and still get something pleasing from them, as opposed to quite a lot of modern tracks / artists that I find okay to listen to once or twice but thereafter they start to grate. Am I making any sense with that or does it all just make me sound old and sad, feel free to say if it does, criticising a mods musical tastes (or lack there-of) def isn't a ban-able offence Osagi

Athlete are one band i certainly found had the re-listen factor. i still reguarly put on there debut album from 2003 (perfect album every tune on it) and the follow up from 2005, though i am yet to listen to last years offering. they are also very good live, proper sing along type. cold war kids are pretty good too. the killers have released album upon album of commercial gold to be fair to them. very good band who are also fabulous live. headlined glasto last year. Bloc party have already been dubbed the most important indie/rock band of the new millenium and i'd have to agree, those guys have a long long succesful (they have already broken many records) career ahead for sure.

music chat is the best because there is always excellent music to chat about, good music isn't exclusive to any particular era or genre its constantly happening and being made!

I have been listening lately to Whitesnake's new album 'Good To Be Bad'. Great album, and similar to their classic album '1987'. Much better than i thought it would be. New Def Leppard one is meant to be good as well.
