1) musically its not my usual cup of tea, its diferent to the mainstream at the moment though, i reckon she'll have a good career.

i apologise james. i was under the impression that discussing her attractiveness would be ok from previous threads about 'prettiest ladies' etc.
i have edited.
i have looked but cant find, could you direct me to the board rules so i can remind myself in order to avoid future mishaps.

With regards her music, it's certainly not in keeping with my personal tastes but I'm struggling to find any recent artists I like.
My other half however rates her and she's usually pretty hip with everything 'pop' so I'll trust her judgement on this one.
Have to say however, if i hear the song 'Mercy' one more fecking time I won't be showing her CD any mercy...

i wonder this too.
the way i look at it is that amy winehouse 'would' have been in the charts for years to come, not so sure now. and i'd like duffy to have the career that amy winehouse should have had.

that happened to remi nicole it seems 
i bought her album as well, i guess it was pretty average but there is some good tunes on there. she also plays well live (she plays guitar which is nice for a solo female pop artist) and is imo pleasing to watch

lol, i saw her before she released the album! she was on her way then tbh, stumbling on stage, sitting down so no one could see and asking girls for lipstick. i was quite disapointed, not what i paid for at all.

Do you not think this is also true of many recent artists mate? As I say I'm really struggling to find someone impressive these days.
Now does tha tmean their all sh1te or tha tI'm just getting old and I've reached the age where people start to say "that's not music..."

Duffy cant sing live. When Amy was clean she could sing live, and i mean she was the business, not because shes a drug addict she has lost the soul from her voice IMO

I heard a track from her spot on Radio 1's thing last weekend. She sounded very good live.
I'm not a massive fan of her music but she certainly can hold a note.
