Not a cover version as such, but Arctic Monkeys did a Girls Aloud song on radio one and that was amazing....

Aye, the Jonny Cash version of Hurt is amazing!! I like: "Sunshine of your love" covered by Hateplow (Cream's song done in a Death Metal stylee!) "Night on a bare mountain" by Marduk (classical piece covered by a Black metal band!) "The Badge" by Pantera "Warpigs" and "Easy" by Faith No More. Also, back in the day there were loads of hardcore versions of songs like the theme from "Rhubarb and Custard" and "Nelly the Elephant!" MT

The Streets/Mike Skinner's version of Elton John's 'Your Song' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTtieF4-fGc I'm the only person I know to actually like it. Granted the singing is terrible but there seems to be a certain warmth and empathy coming from Mike Skinner. Also, Foo Fighters version of Wings 'Man on the run' In fact most of CD 1 of Radio 1's 40th anniversary covers album
