Somebody close to me had it done for free on the NHS. She got brilliant aftercare, and still is getting brilliant aftercare. They even replace them every ten years or so for free. The nurses who take before and after photos for record purposes kept telling her how great they looked, the surgeon even said its some of his best work.
She had to wear a speciallly designed bra for 3 months, then a sports bra for 3 months after that. She informed me that it was not at all painful, and shes never been happier with her body.
I honestly never understand guys who say they 'look' and 'feel' fake. Total bollocks, nowadays that never happens.

Don't agree with that sort of treatment on the NHS not when people are being refused life saving drugs because there to expensive.
To the OP we paid 4000 for my missus op as well and she was told to wear a sports bra for the first 4-6 weeks.

Thats fair enough mate, many people dont. I only see it as justified if it really is psychologically distressing the individual, to the point that it isnt allowing her to lead a normal life. Id say the same for male gyno cases that get operated for on the NHS, and there are a few here who have had that.
Of course then there is also the arguement that you pay your taxes just like everybody else, so if the system can be used to help you, why not.

End of the day, an expert/number of experts has judged the case significant enough for her to have the op. We who know little, can really hardly comment - we don't know the back ground info/history etc do we?
