it's still warm so i dont watnt to put it in the fridge (its in a bag) but i also do not want to stay up for hours waiting for it to cool down

it should be ok out all night shouldnt it?

i could put it in the cool hallway as opposed to the warm kitchen?

how warm is warm mate, if its just above room temp straight in the fridge will be fine. I think if its piping hot theres an issue

In this dire and trying situation, I would opt to put it in the fridge (unless it's steaming hot). Put on the top shelf.

when hot I would not put it in a bag, as germs will breed easily. Leave it out on a plate uncovered until at room temp, then chuck in the fridge

sarcasm, from rhf? this board really is going downhill, they must have got to her too

cliff i can't do that unfortunately, that is the ideal thing to do but the mouse would have a field day

when i say hot i mean it came straight off the george foreman and went in the bag where it stayed on the side until i put it in my coolbox when i went to work

if the bag is sealed does this not prevent germs spreading?

I have this dilemma every night, I usually just put the warm chicken in a bag and stick it in the fridge and I'm still alive to tell the tale.

I'm pretty sure all it does it make the chicken cool quicker and cause the bag to be wet in the morning. There's no risk of germs spreading, although I guess it could warm up nearby objects in the fridge if it's hot enough.
