They're nice photo's, better than average - pose is nice, good facial expression. However what I will say is that the photoshop corrections are too obvious. The skin colour correction looks a little unnatural and the skin smoothing is over the top.

Your girlfriend is a naturally good looking girl and I would have done less corrections to highlight the fact and make the photo's more 'real'.

i agree but we chose that look,i looked at a few photographers work and the woman we picked had the best style of photo.some were borderline porn and some just looked like they were took in a flat somewhere

Fair enough, if you and your girlfriend are happy with the outcome then the photographer met your brief.

Congrats.

Not being funny mate but most models who do photo shoots for magazines etc get photoshoped.

No, your not being funny...

They do indeed get 'photoshoped', however my point is [re-read my post if you have to] is that the skin smoothing is over the top - this is compared to your regular pro touchups the mags get.

Look, to put this to rest, I have not stated to not use Photoshop to correct the image PERIOD. What I have said is that certain techniques there (skin smoothing) is over used thus making the photo's seem a little unnatural. Yes I am a photographer and I have a keen eye for detail. What I personally believe is that you should let the character of the subject come through - in this case, the model. This should include the odd blemish as that is only natural and in my view again, more pleasing to the eye. But again, this is only my opinion it is neither correct or incorrect, it is how I prefer to see subjects.

Now, the OP stated this is the look they wanted so in that case it is a job well done because the client got exactly what they wanted. All I am merely doing is stating my opinion on the look and feel of the finished photo.
