I've missed too much of El bawbag's post to argue with all of them! A Rangers fan who can't afford a season book so he follow's Airdrie United! He's already made secterian comments on here before and got away with it! He has already boosted on here about his football hooligan days and then tries to pass himself off as an educated man! I bet you were in amongst it ya low life!

No I was in Albert Square enjoying myself. I have never boasted about my hooligan days, not ashamed of it, nor proud, dont think I done anyone any real harm- only those who were of a similar mindset to myself, although I accept I would have caused distress to bstanders witnessing it. Still I am sure there are many posters on here do far far worse things.

Your the bigot. You cant get your head round the fact that anyone who is a Protestant would support anyone other than Rangers. I could get free tickets to every Rangers game through my work if I so desired. I dont because I have absolutely no interst in watching a side I dont particularly like, nor watch substandard football. I went to Manchester for a day outr with my pals, a drink and a sing song- that is what I did.

Why would they not????? who would wave the UNION flag then?
Where do you think the blue in the flag comes from?? and you lot have the temerity to call others bigots? some on here are so ignorant and bitter they believe they are in a position to tell people how they should define their identity and nationality???

I had a union flag with me as well. I am proud to be British just as I am proud to be Scottish, just as many on here will be proud to be English and British too. I wouldnt tell you that you should feel British so what on earth gives you the right to try and tell Rangers fans?

I aint on any high horse, I am pointing out the fact that fans of all teams can be badly behaved, as according to the bandwagon on here its only Rangers.

I'm sure the people of Manchester had the right not to have their property smashed, their business urinated and puked on either, the right to be able to carry out their daily business as usual. Travelling is one thing, an unadulterated free for all, en masse, is another. Doesn't matter if there's 150 fans or 150,000 fans, the locals had the right to expect them to behave in a law obiding fashion.

Some of the ignorance spouted on the television by these miscreants really sums up the attitude and now the general perception of Rangers fans. Idiots. Manchester welcomed these oxygen theives, look at the thanks they got.

As did the people of holland, italy, france, Germany, Sweeden..... or any other country that England fans have destroyed in the past, doesnt make you a scum bag for being English though does it? so why are all Rangers fans scum bags cause a few caused bother.

Sorry mate but to say `a few fans` caused bother is a total mis-understatement and all this cr4p about % of fans arrested compared to how many were there is also a load of cr4p, in the 2 hours I was in Manchester on Wednesday I saw more people there who should have been arrested than the eventual arrest figures show, I won`t even mention what my Lass saw working there all day.

I sincerely hope Rangers don`t get drawn against City or United in the near future because next time the Police will be the last of their worries.

Man u fans came up here and ran amok on Paisley Road West at 4 in the afternoon when they played Rangers about 4 years ago, does that mnake Man U fans scum?

If people go away for the day they are on the drink, add that to large numbers of people, heavy handed police, "broken" Screens and its going to result in bother.

As for having more than the police to worry about? I am sure that will strike the fear of god into anyone planning to travel to Manchetsre in the future.....

What sort of stuff were folk getting upo to then? urinating in the street? how shockin- unfortunately manchester wasnt designed to acomodate an extra 200,000 people so people are going to have to pee somewhere if they have been drinking. I didnt see too much else wrong.

So 4 years ago some United fans ( who are more than likely not from Manchester) caused a load of sh1t on a road for a bit and you`re comparing it to over a days worth of sh1tting, pissing, fighting, vandalising and trashing of a City ?
Oh and by the way I didn`t say all Rangers fans were scum , the fact that I saw Rangers fans walking away saying they were embarrassed to f*ck about how many of the fans were behaving says it all really.

-------------
If people go away for the day they are on the drink, add that to large numbers of people, heavy handed police, "broken" Screens and its going to result in bother.

Well firstly you were asked not to come if you didn`t have a ticket, your `fans` decided they were coming anyway with the attitude of`so **** you`.
Out of the goodness of our hearts we then got some screens up for ( which we had no obligation to do) and laid on extra facilities( which we had no obligation to do),
And please, using the above as a way to excuse many of your fans behaviour makes them look even more mindless.

-------------
As for having more than the police to worry about? I am sure that will strike the fear of god into anyone planning to travel to Manchetsre in the future.....

Well, if the tables were turned what would the people of Glasgow think ? If we`d have gone up to Glasgow when we were welcomed in the manner you were and trashed your City, abused it`s citizens what would happen then on a return visit ?

-----------

What sort of stuff were folk getting upo to then? urinating in the street? how shockin- unfortunately manchester wasnt designed to acomodate an extra 200,000 people so people are going to have to pee somewhere if they have been drinking. I didnt see too much else wrong.

All I can say to that is like most others you must have been completely p1ssed out of your tree mate, try p1ssing up cars in the traffic knowing people on their own aren`t going to do much with your hundreds of fans behind them then vandalising their cars, sh1tting all over the place on the sides of the road and pavement.
Running around with their c0cks out ( despite many being obvious sufferers of micro-penis)
Fights between your own fans breaking out, assaulting passers by ( again safe in the knowledge there were hundreds behind to back them up)
Numerous cars over-turned and proerties and shops damaged.

The list goes on mate, as I say your must have been too p1ssed to notice or you weren`t actually there because no person with their faculties altogether could have missed it.

But it is like going to spain and wearing the spannish flag as a mark of respect to the spanish and then trashing its country . Or would the people who were doing the rioting trash one of there own citys if it was held in there own country aswel?

I also realise that the English are amongst the worse for football hooliganism.

We were told not to come? what right does anyone have to tell British citizens where they can and cant travel and when? Also your city council was happy enough to rake in the cash we were all spending in your shops, in fact they could have prevented disorder had they opened up Old Trafford and laid on a big screen- that would have taken 70,000 extra people off the street. However I gather that its 2 different ouncils, and they didnt want the cash going to Salford council

I seen a few fights, there was a few on our bus on the way down and back up as it happens however this is nothing specific to Rangers fans, its a societal problem- just as binge drinking is. I cant rememeber seeing anyone abusing locals or even being cheeky to passers by, and yes I was absolutely gassed as I cracked oopen my first beer at 8am. I would have had my knob out, as its hard to p1ss without doing so, and with all the pubs completely full where else were people supposed to urinate? As for sh1tt1ing in the street? not pleasent but hardly crime of the century.

The rest sounds like exactly the sort of behaviour we see England fans indulging in every time you play in a major tournament.

Rangers fans werent waving Union flags as a mark of respect to Manchester they were doing it cause they always do it and they are proud to be British. The behaviour would have been the same no matter where they were in the country. I think a tiny minority actively set out to destroy the city. Of an estimated 200,000 people in the city maybe only a couple of thousand were destructive, its a small number in relation to the numbers that were there. The rest was just high jinks, and drunken tomfoolery.

I said you were ASKED not to come.

---------

Also your city council was happy enough to rake in the cash we were all spending in your shops, in fact they could have prevented disorder had they opened up Old Trafford and laid on a big screen- that would have taken 70,000 extra people off the street. It would have been Trafford council btw and Salford is a City in it`s own right.

The Council weren`t happy, if they were they would have had no objection in the first place, they just accepted you were going to come and tried to make it as enjoyable as possible for you in the time provided ie at least make you feel welcome.
As I said before, the City had no obligation to offer fans without tickets ANYTHING at all, what makes you think you are so special to think you have some sort of right to this ?
In hindsight it would have been better to put screens in places like Heaton park etc but how many people would have been happy with limited places for drink and food ?

----------

I seen a few fights, there was a few on our bus on the way down and back up as it happens however this is nothing specific to Rangers fans, its a societal problem- just as binge drinking is. I cant rememeber seeing anyone abusing locals or even being cheeky to passers by, and yes I was absolutely gassed as I cracked oopen my first beer at 8am.

Well travelling down Deansgate I saw more fights than you aswell as people p1ssing up peoples cars and throwing bottles/cans etc at them for daring to look at them as well as anyone else in a car who looked at them, people p1ssed up, unconscious with vomit all over them in the middle of the road, my Lass informed me they were abusing all the office staff as she left work with fans right up to their faces screaming and shouting at men and women, shouting lewd remarks again to both men and women.

------------

I would have had my knob out, as its hard to p1ss without doing so, and with all the pubs completely full where else were people supposed to urinate? As for sh1tt1ing in the street? not pleasent but hardly crime of the century.

There are numerous alleyways and back streets off the main roads for them to do it if it was that bad, to be doing it on one of the major roads in the City and to be running around in the traffic p1ssing all over the place whilst laughing, I wouldn`t dream of going to another City and abusing it and their good will in such a way.

-------------

The rest sounds like exactly the sort of behaviour we see England fans indulging in every time you play in a major tournament.

I don`t condone that either but having been to or worked most of the major matches at Maine road and Old Trafford I can honestly say I have never seen such deplorable behaviour that comes anywhere close to the Rangers fans visit.

I can honestly say I feel so sorry for the genuine Rangers fans who came to Manchester with the intention of having a good time, my comments in no way reflect on them but even they are honest enough to admit that they were ashamed of a great many of their fans.

Nobody here is blaming the police at all, in fact they let the Rangers fans get away with more than they should have to not spark anything off.
The only thing we could fault the police for was there was not enough of them, dogs, horses all prepared for the rioting.

Check my 1st post, we all knew there was ging to be trouble when the Rangers fans were kicking off with passing femles just trying to drive home.

The screen that the Rangers fans were complaining about was put up for them for FREE!!! They talk as if it was owed to them.
We welcomed Rangers with open arms, we wanted them to win.
Give them an inch and they took a mile and then complained about it. We should have done nothing for them at all.
