Im going to add in some cardio to try reduce bodyfat for the summer. Ive been on a bulk but havent increased in fat really waist measures 32" and im 6ft 2. Cant really see any abs but for lack of a better word it looks "toned" ie line going through the centre. I dont really want to sacrifice muscle for fat loss though, so I wont be dramatically changing my diet Ill just try and be a bit more strict. Ive stopped taking my weightgain and have started just on protein (and maltodextrin for post workout). I train 4 times a week so only one rest day plus weekend prefere not to go the gym on the weekend if can be helped but if required I will. I was thinking something like 20mins on the 4 days I go the gym on the cross trainer on fatburn, is this ok? and then maybe go on my rest day and do an hour split 30min cross trainer 30min fast walk on tredmill? Again I dont want to lose muscle Id sooner stay fat haha

could try to incorporate 30-45 min low intensity cardio in the morning before eating anything, have a protien shake after then 30 mins later carry on with your normal diet. by low intensity i mean just enough so that when you stop your just out of breath. work out your target heart rate and aim for that.

Thanks for the reply. I start work early so AM cardio isn't really an option tbh. Would having breakfast then a lunchtime cardio session then the weights at night be more beneficial? or would that not really make a difference?

i'd go with your first idea in your circs, just add some cardio at the end of your workouts, you could even do two lots of HIIT for 20mins and two lots of steady state for 30mins and i think youd see results, i'd be tempted not to add in the 5th session just to give your body a nice rest

you will only lose fat in a calorie deficit.
