i have just moved to the sticks and have found out that to have broadband through the phoneline will be top price i.e. around 15 quid a month and the line will only support a maximum speed of 512 (kb i think)

my other option is a plug in dongle thing with a maximum usage of 3gb a month and apparently if you go over your usage they charge you a bomb.

now my question is should i go for the phone line option and accept the 512 download speed which i have been told is very slow or the dongle.

how much is 3gb in terms of daily internet use? would downloading music etc wipe your usage immediately or what

any advice much appreciated

I have the 3 contract.£15 a month for 3 gig of useage. They also do 7 gig for £25.I heard that they may be increasing useage limits.I connect at 3.6 mbps.Go to their website at www.three.co.uk to check out your areas connection speed.

I usually download quite a bitof music but have never been over 2.5 gig in a month.

Not really suitable if you wanna download movies.

3gb will be enough to browse and download some music. I think there is a way of checking usage but dont take that as gospel.

If you are mainly surfing you should be able to do well over 100 hours a month no problem.

You can monitor useage on 3's website. In the 'my3' section.Gives useage to the exact moment you select it.

Yes mate, about as slow as Broadband gets.I have been happy with my mobile one.No problems getting or retaining connection.Slows slightly during peak useage times but not enough to p1ss you off.

Worth looking into mate and T Mobile and Vodafone also offer it as well.

I don't know Jax have you tried to google your question?

It should be ok providing it keeps connection.

Lol I was trying to be funny.

Well Im on wireless gaming now on the 360 but thats coming from a router

My plan was to buy the dongle and then use the 360 via the laptop to have access to the net for gaming.
