They used to go on and on about the amount of water one had to drink. Thing is, that many of those formulas were completely not founded in science. Recently more and more doctors and other experts have spoken up, and pointed to the lack of research into those recommendations. It seems that for a healthy person, thirst may well be the best indicator of when and how much to drink. The mechanisms in the body seem to regulate things pretty well.

Drink as much as it needs so that you are hydrated.

I had approx 3 litres at work yesterday plus a littre during a 40 min cardio session at lunch and my urine was still like toxic waste yesterday afternoon. I think 3 litres is a good guide for most people but other factors will mean other people need more such as sweating in an office with no air con with lots of windows which heat the room up to about 75 degrees F (as for me lol)

I'm usually up at about four litres plus, but 2-3 should be fine for most people.

I drink a fair few litres of water, probably about 4 a day. If its a bit warmer or a workout day, I have drunk up to 7.
