I got half way through that survey and thought more and more that it was bordering on insulting. Questions about porn stars penis's?? WTF??

This was where I was starting to lose interest, every time I do a study or survey they seem to really weight the questions in a really sly and bizarre manner - it can only come out as a negative.

There seems to have been a number of threads asking for opinions of late, even though they seem to already have preconceived ideas - certainly no impartiality in my view.

lots of people groups are judged as 'weird' but the bodybuilder is never benignly so.
I suppose body building as a pure art form gets lumped in with all other groups with above average muscularity?

Anyone who does something out of the norm is considered weird. BBers, women BBers, boob jobs etc etc. Its just something for busy bodies and women on their tea breaks to chat about

I started to wonder why everyone thinks all bodybuilders are insecure, have image problems or are mental in general?

Because imo they are.

At least he had the balls to stand up and say "hey, I got caught and I knew exactly what I was doing".

Hang on, there are people who don't think bodybuilders are vain and generally insecure about their bodies?

Fun fact for the day: It isn't natural to shove copious amounts of food and chemicals down you, get huge, eat nothing but boiled chicken and vegetables for months whilst walking for hours on inclined treadmills and then rub fake tan all over yourself so you can be judged like pieces of meat. Granted, most people never get to that stage of development in their body-building careers, but sports, organisations, political parties and pretty much everything are judged by their most extreme members/opinions. When you talk about football, you usually talk about the top level of football where players are being paid obscene amounts of money, get in the press regularly and have high profile lives, not the sunday league. When people think of bodybuilders, they think of Ronnie Coleman walking around like a penguin because he's so ridiculously big he's actually not very pleasant to look at.

I personally don't see bodybuilding as a particularly clever thing to do to yourself, unless it's entirely natural, so I can sympathise with their point of view, if not their (apparently) caustic way of portraying it.

Well I bbuild and I would guess I do have serious psychiatric problems? LOL

Nah in all honestly I first started training as I was as skinny as a rake and weighed 9 stone before starting. I was always getting comments made about how skinny I was and felt self conscious about my body and went out weren't baggy clothes etc to tryt and hide it.

So I never set out to look as I do as I never dreamed it was possible I just wanted a few extra pounds of mucscle so I felt more confident in myself and more in secure. But the more I trained the more I got into the bbing lifestyle and the more I respected it the harder I worked.

And the rest is kinda history, I didn't find bbing it found me!

I suspect not, lots of people would like to be fitter and in better shape but few want to dedicate so much time & energy and make it the entire focus of their lives
