I got home last night and my parents had been shopping and had bought a couple of boxes of Jaffa Cakes. Which sort of gave me a dilemma, on the one hand I love Jaffa Cakes (i rinsed off about 2 boxes in one afternoon when writing my dissertation) but on the other I've been pretty good with my diet for the last 3weeks or so and I think it is showing and I dont want to undo any of the good work I have possibley done. In the end I comprimised and had about 5 throughout the night (they just kept calling to me).

How good/bad/indifferent are Jaffa Cakes? They have 48cals each, and 1g fat each, 10g carbs each.

"there are not bad foods only bad amounts to eat them in and bad times to eat them"

So given the above, when would you normally eat relatively fast carbs almost completely devoid of other nutrients?

A few isn't going to ruin your life mate so relax a little about it, the more strict you need to be (body comp goals etc) the less you can have.

Perhaps through the night isnt the best time to eat them, simple carbs...to fuel? nothing really?
However its 150kcals...it wont make any difference visually or anything really.

If you repeat it every night it may though...

Plus everyone knows mixing chocolate and orange is wrong, plain wrong!!!

Perfect at half-time or full-time. I used to live on them to get the energy back in me during a Football match.
