Well I just checked my Trident sugar free gum and its got: Maltitol syrup and according to this: http://www.mendosa.com/netcarbs.htm Its got a Glycemic Index of 53. Gonna ditch this particular one, anyone know of a gum with only Mannitol (GI of ZERO)? Whats your sugar free gum got in it? You'll be surprised!

How many grams of maltitol per strip of gum? How many strips are you chewing per day?

I guess I'm being a bit anal about the nitty gritty of it all, I would imagine the values are minuscule Nige. I have given my packets to my sister so dont have them to hand right now but will check into this. I do have gum a lot though, suppose I'll have to cut down a tad. Been a habbit ever since the Wrigley's Juicy Fruit days back at skool. UPDATE: Having found a secret stash (under the bed) I checked the following nutritional info: Polyols 62.3g per 100g Each strip weighs in at 2.2g so thats 1.37g of Polyols per strip. No idea how much Mannitol per strip doesn't say anywhere. I used to cane about 14 of these babies a day easy

Is there any chewing gum I can buy that won't give me stomach cramps and terrible bloating? I understand now that it is due to polyols and I cant seem to find any products without these in them.

God I gave up fags, I cannie give up my precious gum as well. Especially not now I have started having garlic with every meal as well lol. I'm using it as a natural prebiotic as I have a lot of stomach bother, I must say I really can feel the benefits from it. But the smell....
