Not just bodybuilding but 2 questions here: Have you tried encouraging your other half to train and take an interest in nutrition? OR EVEN Have you ever tried introducing your other half to MT? I know of a few members who have got their wives to join up but Im interested in how many of you have actually tried or would like to try to get their other halves to join up?? Id like to get my gf to become a member in the near future and learn about nutrition so she can better her body not only for me but for her own self confidence. I already take her with me once a week to my gym and pay £10 guest fee weekly which I dont mind paying because she really enjoys it and relaxing in the pool together after training, plus she wants to get fit. She made a few hints that she wanted to improve her body and since then Im doing everything to encourage her. Basicly how many of you encourage your partners to train?

Apollo mate, not all 'other halves' are wives/GFs.

my ex put weight on, it didnt bother me at all i liked her with a few more curves. she then decided to join the gym to lose weight, then preceeded to lie about going and pay £50 per month for a year's membership, very odd. i was more bothered about her wasting money.

Sure, that was just for the title and I was going to mention within the post that it also applies to husbands and bf's but I forgot.

I met my other half in the gym, so the gym introduced us, so to speak. Both my offspring do a bit here and there although I've not especially steered them that way

My wife get lectures from me about everything from Ketosis to Glycemic Index and beyond. Since I don't shut up about it and bang on and on about it, she's thrown in the towel and joined me in my quest for health. Its great sharing ideas, views, articles....etc with a loved one on a similar level to me . This is in stark contrast to my obese diabetic mother who doesn't want to know and is killing herself slowly.

Glad for your wife and hope your mother will take notice in the future, but would you get your wife signed up on MT?

I tried for a while but she has no interest whatsoever. I've given up now.

I am 'the other half' introduced to the gym. Paul has had is gym for around 15 years now and when we met I made it pretty clear there was no way I was going to do owt at the gym. That was cool with him, just because he loves it didn't mean I had to. Then when I had my career change 18 months ago and set up a full time massage/bodywork practice at the gym I started messing about with full body workouts just to pass time...and it has just snowballed from there. I now train 5 days a week, I train very bleeding hard and very fortunate to have had fantastic support and teachers including 2 IFBB pro's and I LOVE IT. The changes have been amazing but I've still a long way to go. I've met some ace people on MT and a couple of us lasses train together once a week! All in all...good show

i try to get my gf interested in training and diet. she says she will start a diet, then she sees something she wants to eat and says "i will start tomorrow". always seems to be tomorrow though when she finally gets to "tomorrow", she just lacks motivation and stops after about a week. i try to guide her when she diets, but she thinks she knows best.
