Seeing as were almost half way into the new year, what were the goals you set yourselves this year and so you think youre on target to achieving them?

If not what do you think is holding you back?

Be sorted out after todays FA Cup mate. Doesn't help that I was too sick to go on the coach (non booze related).

Bought my cross trainer for AM cardio and after this weekend have nothing of note to drink for so will be sorted out in the next month or so you watch fella.

Cheers

RE: Goals for the year - 17 May 2008 16:16
goals

1: stay off the cigs. (still not smoked)
2: lay off the booze binges. (had a binge on my birthday and thats it)
3: gain weight. (slowly)
4: improve my diet. (improved more than it was)
5: increase my training. (started training 5 days a week now)
6: get better organised. (almost there, i now have box files etc and my work is a bit better organised.)

organisation for me is what im working on the most, i need to sort most stuff out at weekends and i just dont have the time for anything. I post on here but thats whilst im doing design or code, or sifting through emails or trying to organise my work.

headache.

yeah i could possibly rule out the shin splints as i trained through the shin splint pain last summer, however i need to establish whether the heat induced thingie has gone from my time on roaccutane, there is literally no way that i could boxing train as soon as i get a bit hot i need to put some frozen peas on my head or scratch it for about an hour

i think it may have gone now, but i need to double check

RE: Goals for the year - 17 May 2008 17:02
These are what I said at the start of the year:

Qualify for Scotlands Strongest Man; therefore become the youngest to ever to this. DONE

5 reps at 250kg squat RAW

At least a 220/ 230kg front squat RAW

300kg+ Deadlift RAW

140kg Log

400kg Yoke 20m no drops

Load at least a 180 stone to 56"

140kg Axel/ 140kg clean and press

150kg Farmers 20m no drops

Reckon Im on track for everything else, but have a feeling that the squat will be 250 for 5 in a suit and wraps.

RE: Goals for the year - 17 May 2008 18:01
My goal was to lose weight and get in decent enough shape to sucessfully get into The Royal Marines. I've lost over 50lbs since last year, and increased my fitness infinitely, but I think my goal of applying on the 1st September might be a little optimistic, might end up applying just after Christmas but who cares, everything is on the up, it really is only a matter of time and dedication, both of which are totally on my side.

Just keep on keeping on guys!
