Rarely drink. If I do, its only 5-10 vodka/JD and diet cokes. Lager makes me feel gash in the morning even after a pint or two. Prolly drink once every month or two. Used to think it was cool to get pissed. These days I don't give a fcuk about being pissed, just having a good laugh. Also I can be a n0rty boy when hammered so I avoid it!

lol 10 JD's is alot!

jack5r, are u telling me you can down a 70cl bottle of whisky in 2 mins? Ive drank most of a 70cl jim beam over 1 night and was puking all night

The middle sized ones, not 70cl.

That's nothing. Trust me. Plus as you're quite small, yeh you could drink that in a couple of minutes, who couldn't but you'd be on your arse after it.

I drink way too much, and it's absolutely **** all to brag about.

i only go out once every 2 weeks now, much better that way. When i lived with mates, I was out 2-3 nights a week....had some rough hang-overs

i think people should only avoid alchohol, drinking etc if they are competing or a pro !

Drinking heavily once per week has little effect on my progress

It is what I aim for

my main problem is booze consumption, not sure 8 pints of stella is binge drinking, although it depends on the time they are consumed in

an example of mine,
get in from work fri & sat night and sink 2 cans of carling each night and maybe 4 on a sun night

not a massive amount you may say but realistically i want to lose another 2 stone

fair enough pete, but what i was trying to get at is the fact that 8 pints over say 8 hours is not what is perceived as binge drinking, 8 pints in an hour is

I'm surprised noone has mentioned the chemicals in lager. This is doing the damage. I don't understand why us brits accept it. Germany has a purity law which every beer/lager manufacturer must obide by. I think it's the chemicals which mainly cause the hangover.

i was asking what effect it will have if you binge once a week, but i stated that i only binge once a month, although drink a couple of cans once a week.

i thought taking around 5-10 minutes hit your head in the fastest time? it does for me anyway..downing drinks doesnt have that effect on me.

Does drinking lower testosterone permanently? or just whilst you are drunk/ the day after?

LOL what a sad way of life, drinking excess poisonous liquid that ruins your brain, liver and other organs just to be 'English' and fit in with the sad nightlife lifestyle that this country has. Lots of blind sheep running around in this thread. If I were you I'd give up crap like that and focus on training, something healthy and productive with positive results.

whats worse, getting drunk once per week/fortnight and drinking nothing in between, or doing regular courses of steroids? i think the latter..

(i realise i have just opened a can of worms lol)

Moderation, moderation, moderation, moderation!!

Trouble is moderation goes out of the window when your having an amazing night...

Yes I think the whole binge drinking culture is sad, it is perceived to be "cool" to drink too much..

Then again I sat in one night with the girlfriend watching knocked up whilst drinking sparkling zinfandel, we ended up going through 1 1/2 bottles that night, the film was made 20x more hilarious and we were just in a permanent state of hysterics amplified by the alcohol.. Now im not saying alcohol is required for a good night, im saying my god it was a fun night which was enhanced by the alcohol..

Going out into town and getting a bit tipsy, dancing like an idiot with all your mates is great fun, loses its appeal however once you start abusing it... A few times a month for me and every night out is amazing... Too busy enjoying myself to care about other issues.. What I have noticed is that the frequent nightly abusers say 2-3 times per week out on the lash end up always chasing a good night, drinking too much, becoming fat, miserable, and basically destroying themselves.

Again moderation..

My 2 cents
