I was just wondering if drinking alcohol is bad for BB training?

I've heard it is, but is this for serious drinking or can you have a few beers once a week and do no damage to your muscle growth?

Eurovision is coming up and theres nothing funnier than than getting drunk and listening to Terry Wogan make more and more cutting remarks.

It's never going to be beneficial, however IMO a few pints aint going to hurt in the grand scheme of things

Wouldn't choose to watch Eurovision though, that could be more damaging to overall health..

afew pints arent going to effect your training a great deal. If you do decide to drink you'll probably be better drinking white or red wine, white wine is great for aiding digestion of foods also.

Haha. Not heard that entry yet. I can't wait to hear Terry Wogan's ingonimy at it.

I'm more of a real ale drinker.
I saw an article on msn.co.uk today that said a few ales are good for you. So no one can stop me now! haha

How could you? Its the very cornerstone of Western civilisation.

Not to mention that our great nation is being represented by a bin man.

not only a bin man, but a bin man with one of the worst uk songs ever

a few drinks and eurovision sounds like a great idea to me

I agree with beefycol. i go out maybe once a fortnight and get smashed. i am still getting good results in the gym and my diet is usually good. I think whats the point of having a good body if you just sit in the house all the time. why else do u work out other then to impress people when u r out (maybe thats just me). i know some of the guys on here dont drink and i am not critising there life style but i just enjoy going out and getting hammered and having a laugh with my mates.

yep agree, looking the dogs, you look at other people skinny and fat, yes muscle not for everyone, but you worked so hard for it so you feel good, and feel that you look better than most people in a club. but you alway get the skinny lil men that wanna take you on.
glad i good with my month, and hang round with other big lads soon back down lol

yesterday my afternoon consisted of going to the pub at 12, drinking till 3 when i think went to get a steak lunch and a cpouple of bottles of red wine followed by a few vodkas and lemonade (diet of course )...haha

Seriously, heavy drinking is serious damaging to muscle growth if done to much, but going and having a few pints with the lads on a friday or saturday is not an issue.

I agree with the boys, why bust your butt in the gym and look this good for no one else to see you...

Nothing impresses the ladies like kneeling in a puddle of your own vomit. Alcohol is evil. Avoid it.
