My very first cutting diet - 11 June 2008 23:36
I was wondering if I am doing it right, seem to of lost 4lb in the first 3 days, is this normal?

I am a 27yr old female, on starting this diet I was at 175.4LB. I am really ready for doing this after putting in alot of effort in to get a good basic shape ready to cut.

Would be very grateful for any help... x

Monday - (Couldn't eat am due to hospital appointment)

12.00pm - 1 scoop of whey & skimmed milk
Pear

2.30pm - Tin of Tuna with Mayo wrapped in Lettuce

5.00pm - Protien Bar

WORKOUT - LEGS
CARDIO - 500 CALS

7.00pm - 2 scoops of whey & skimmed milk

8.00pm - Jacket potato with low fat cottage cheese topped with sliced ham and side salad

Drinks - Water plus 1 coffee and a glass of ribena light


Tuesday

9.00am - 1 scoop of whey & skimmed milk
Banana

12.30pm - Plain tuna salad, with boiled egg & beetroot

2.30pm - Apple

6.00pm - Apple

8.30 - Ham & Cheese Omlette with salad
Low fat yoghurt

Drinks - Water, 1 coffee, lemon & lime flavoured water

REST DAY FROM TRAINING.


Wednesday

8.30am - 1 scoop of whey & skimmed milk
Banana

11.30am - Mini Babybel
Apple

1.00pm - Chicken and bacon salad, beetroot and boiled egg

3.00pm - Mini Babybel
Apple

6.00pm - Scoop of whey & water

WORKOUT - BACK & SHOULDERS
CARDIO - 600 CALS

9.00pm - Mackeral salad with lemon juice and cottage cheese
Low fat yoghurt

Drinks - Water, 2 coffee, Diet coke


Supplements taken
Multi-vit
Cod liver oil

Hi. Here are a few points:-
1) In the first week of any dietary change, there can be up to 5lbs of glycogen & water weight change. Ignore this. After the first week on a cutting diet, your weight will fall at a lower rate. Do you know your bodyfat percentage?
2) How much mackerel is there in your salad? Your omega-3 intake may be insufficient. See http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/m_2695743/mpage_1/tm.htm#2698563 for various options.
Please note: women need half the amount of linseed & flaxseed oil mentioned in this post (due to having double the conversion efficiency compared to men).

Doesnt seem like your getting a lot of protein there mate, instead of the babybel try something like a tin of tuna or chicken breast with some veg. On tuesday your going from 12.30 - 8.30 with no protein just 1 apples inbetween, you need protein in each meal, so at 2.30 and 6 have something again like chicken or tuna
