9 days in hospital - 11 June 2008 23:40
what a week, bare with me.

was driving home from lads night out(sober as i'm tee-total) travelling at 60 mph on an A-road, an idiot came speeding round a corner on the wrong side of the road, clipped my car and made my back end clip the kurb, spun and rolled my car, more than once............................. don't remember anymore.

wake up in A&E, told i have no broken bones, but as i was upside down, my left hand must of gone through the windscreen or sun roof, coz its been de-gloved i.e grazed all the skin off my hand and fingers. plus on the top of my hand i have an inch hole, with damaged nerves and tendons.

9 days in hospital and 3 operations and i back home.

had just started a new job, that is manual work, had just finished a cycle and was in good shape.
now its awhile before i'll be back in the gym. other driver didn't even stop.

witness who saw it all and dragged me out, said i shud neva have walked awaY from it, so in one sense i'm lucky.

managed to gert 4 nurses phone numbers though
car was a crap ford escort but saved my life.

Terrible thing to happen!

As if the bell end didnt even stop

As youve said, the only positive is, that it could have been worse.

Guess you`ll just have to see how much use youve got in the bad arm, you might still be able to do a bit to hold onto your mass.

Keep a good diet and rest loads try to speed things up.

Hope you have a fast recovery!!

sounds like you were lucky! Dont worry you will be back in the gym in no time! did you get the police involved? did the witness see the licence plate number?

I was out running yesterday and got abuse off some 12 year old girls, so I stopped and offered them out.

Cant say I like the sound of "Degloving!". Will you get 100% use of your hand back when it all heals up?

Man you must be pissed at that other driver - to not even stop is just unbeleivable - I mean he doesn't even know if you got out of there alive.

Hope you have a speedy recovery mate, there's nowt worse than being forced out the gym when everything was going so well.

Hope you get fit soon - any chance there were any CCTV cameras or anything along the road at the time of the incident - they could track the little pecker head down?
