You dont here much except for the basic lifts.

Would a set of 10 FULL reps with 315# be considered respectable?

If it's more than did the last time then it is very repectable

Respectable in an equipped 125kg+ comp - NO
Respectable for an untrained individual - YES
Respectable for a 110kg heavy AAS user with 10 years decent training experience - MAYBE
Respectable if your flat bench is 450lbs for 10 - NO
Respectable in a gym full of PLers - MAYBE
Respectable in a private health club environment - YES

Wheels hits the nail on the head with his response though. Unless you're after validation from your peers, any lift that is more than you've previously done is respectable.

To answer your question properly though, yes, 140kg for 10 reps on the incline is more than most trainers would manage so yes, it is a very respectable lift.

I've gotta ask too, why does a bloke who can bench 220kg quote your upright row in your sig?

Just seems an a little odd

Well i just post what exercises i have my best lifts in. Out of all the exercises out there, these are the few that stand out for me that are my personal strong points. I know they arent big numbers to people on here and i figure to get lots of critisisim for them and although i only spend about 4 hours a week in the gym i try and work my azz off.

My weights arent that good so if i gave the impression that im bragging thats the last thing i was trying to do.

bye

Hmmm, mate unless you bench in a cave you should know that benching 220 is outstanding. It's well worth bragging about imo, If I ever hit that weight you won't be able to shut me up

how much is

315#

is that right we are talking about 225kg?

my answer would be that it is dependant on the physique and also the lifters other lifts

315lbs = 140kg not 225. That's what he does for reps on the incline.

However, 510lbs is approx. 232kg which is what he does for flat bench - a hugely impressive lift.

how does he get the '2' in 232kg when kg plates only come in 2 1/2, 5, 10, 20 and 25kgs?

Because he's using lb plates rather than kg.

So 510lbs is easy to make out of 45's. It's 5 plates each side plus a 5 and a 2.5. Including the bar that's 510lbs.
