Whats the best buy meal replacement? - 12 June 2008 09:23
I've finally run out of the buckets of USN MRP i had, and wanted to know what the best buy is for a half decent MRP now.

Whats your favourites based on taste, nutritional values and price?

Would i be better off getting fomr CLP Flapjacks as i use it for a mid afternoon snack.

Not sure if this is of interest but I recently had some of the jays mioplex protein cookies peanut butter flavour and I think they are the most delicious supplement (if you can call them that) I've ever had.

Thanks M12

Has anyone tried the Myprotein MRP? They have an extra 10g compared to the allin1 for the same price.

I use MyProtein's and I have used Allin1's they're equally as nice, however you can pick the MRP's up for 14.50 a box from myprotein if you use the online price matcher and enter www.sports-nutrition.net

Just trying to order now, where & when in the ordering process does the price match option come up, i've got to the billing page and can't find it.

There is a box at the very bottom of the front page where you enter the site address then it brings up all the deals and you add them to your basket from there

Reflex do an ace one called Progen - ingredient profile is really nice:

Protein blend: (ultra filtered whey protein concentrate, milk protein concentrate (80% micellar casein, 20% whey protein), cross flow micro filtered whey protein isolate, lactospore (lactobacillus sporogenes - 6 billion/g), Digezyme enzyme complex)
Activated organic barley
Organic oats
Nature identical flavours
Vitamin/Mineral blend: (magnesium aspartate, ascorbic acid, choline bitartrate, zinc monomethione, d-alpha tocopheryl succinate, niacinamide, iron biglycinate, calcium pantothenate, riboflavin, thiamin hydrochloride, pyrodoxine hydrochloride, copper chelate, vitamin A palmitate, chromium chelate, biotin, folic acid, cyanocobalamin, vitamin D3, potassium iodide, l-selnomethionine)
MSM (methylsulfonylmethan)
Linumlife flaxseed concentrate
Betaine
Artificial sweeteners (sucralose, acesulfame K)

I've taken out the stuff related to specific flavours...but that gives you a picture. More expensive than the above suggestions, but a nice, nice product.

RE: Whats the best buy meal replacement? - 12 June 2008 14:23
depends on which MRP suits your needs as everyone is slightly different.

top of my list would be CNP Pro-MR as they're roughly 50/50 casein to concentrated whey with afew grams of egg white protein added. Expensive but your paying for probably the best MRP on the market.

Samples available here; http://www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk/sample---cnp-pro-mr-x-1-sachet-401-p.asp

All-In-1s and MPs are another great option

havent tried Reflex's MRP but they're ingredients are top quality

I may get a few of the cheaper ones, a box of reflex & one of the CNP ones for a bit of variation.

Just that someone's promised to write a review of them up after trying them off the site. Could give gwilym some food for thought in his choice potentially.

No offers on the MRP's coming up that I'm aware of. Not sure what next month's offer is yet.

Oh yeah just to concur with what TF said, Reflex Progen are very good quality. Definately worth looking into if cash isn't a limiting factor.

Thanks for the input guys. Well i've got myself a few boxes of myprotein MRP as for 14.50 you cant go wrong IMO.

Im gunna get a box of Reflex as i had them many years ago and remember them being particularly nice then.

Also get myself a box of the CNP stuff i think later for a bit of variation. That all should keep me going for a few months!
