I wouldn't worry about them selling out. You have to remember that most people will only get one when their current contract ends so there probably won't be an enormous demand in the first few weeks, although Im willing to be proved wrong!

I have registered my interest on o2's site as an existing iPhone custoner (whether or not that makes a blind bit of difference , either way remains to be seen )
But in the meantime I will keep my wits about me and probably turn up at launch just to make sure - I Hope they don't do any of this 6pm launch rubbish , as I am working the Friday evening and then off on holiday the following day ! -The last thing I want is to have one on order , then have them fail on the delivery on the 11th , as this means my phone will be kicking around in a depot for a week and a half and likely to be destroyed by the baffoons that work there

Saying that my contract is up in a few weeks so I may consider one althought the Sony C902 looks pretty mint and I wont have to sign up for a really expensive contract to get it free!

As is pointed out by most iPhone 'haters' , the iPhone brings nothing particularly NEW to the table , in fact many other phones offer better spec , etc..

Nokia, Samsung ,SE , HTC etc have been making internet capable devices for YEARS and YEARS and YEARS , Then the along comes the iPhone , and within a year the iPhones browser is THE MOST POPULAR BROWSER IN THE USA !! think about that for a second ? There are literally HUNDREDS OF DIFFERENT MODELS of Symbian , Windows mobile , Blackberry & Palm devices , which have been sold over the years - yet there are more people using the ONE MODEL of iphone , in its FIRST YEAR , than ALL THE OTHER DEVICES PUT TOGETHER !! - Surely anyone can see the significance of that ? - and all this with "one arm tied behind it's back" WRT the lack of 3G

Apparantly 80% of iPhone users are using 10 or more of their iphones features ! , as Steve Jobs pointed out - most smartphone owners couldn't even begin to understand how to use 10 features on their phones !!

Mate totally agree, i stupidly got a N95 which is a great phone dont get me wrong, but i hardly use actully DONT use any of the features built in, its literally an expensive brick with a camera and phone.
I could have gone out and got a 20 quid nokia and used more features than my n95.

Ive seriously thought about the iphone but will i actully use it ? im a mac operator for a job so by trade i should get one, but how will it benefit me ?

Ive thought about getting a cheap phone and contract just cos i dont use half the stuff on phones and pay a highy monthly tariff for the pleasure....

Will compete one day !!!!!!
