They were banned, then they were allowed.

What's the current status?

I believe they arent encouraged on here but are usually tolerated in moderation, i.e. when one starts up it is left open for everyone to have their say and give their opinion but locked before or as soon as it gets heated and somone gets offended.

I understand the confusion righty!

We tried and tried, but I've learned to listen to my experience.

Generally no, but they are encouraged for sports, fitness and health issues (as that's what MT is about afterall). However, it's difficult where to draw the line. For example, is debating UK driving laws political? Well, yes it is really, but we tend to let these ones go.

Ones which lead onto immigration, racial and government party issues are a big no-no.

Everything in between, I'd like to think that the poster would use their common sense.

I'm locking this, not because I don't want you to reply, but it's to avoid the members asking why and posting their reason why they should. Not that there is anything wrong with them asking, they have every right, but I am obliged to reply and promptly, and I simply cannot take that today. My work pile is too much (besides I have cmmented on it numerous times before).
