ed's SD log
-
13 June 2008 09:08
I am currently 1.5 weeks into my first SD cycle. It is a 3 weeker at 20mg first week then 30mg for the rest. I'll give a brief outline now then do a bit more in-depth analysis after the last week and again post-pct. effects so far: pretty lethargic. thought this would be okay with carb loading but it really does hit you. I cant really be bothered to do anything, and it's been like this since about day 5. loss of libido. noticible since about day 7. appetite spike. especially in the mornings im craving glucose like a maniac. big strength increases. really nothing happened in the first 6 days and i was thinking 20mg just wasnt enough and i think that's been the case as when i when into 30mg ed i just really jumped in weights. i'll post more later but shoulder press, bench and shrugs have all taken decent bumps. body comp is odd. im leaning out more than bulking and this is party due to the fact that my diet's been a bit all over the place (unavoidable unfortunately) but i've put on 7 pounds so far but body fat has gone down. interesting. Will post more soon. Ed

Nice one mate. I use a stim when on sd to combat lethargy, find ALRI's venom hyperdrive 3.0 very good but leave it at one cap per day in the morning as two caps for me and many others I've read about can affect sleep. I believe its available at www.bodybuildingwarehouse.co.uk and potentially www.musclefinesse.co.uk (add MT username to order notes for free delivery). Many other products out there anyway.

Cheers Celt. Think I may have to add a stim for the last week or my boss is going to start asking questions! (sleeping for more than 5 hours at my desk is apparently unacceptable) God, I had cut down slightly pre-cycle in anticipation of carb loading and so i started at 12.1. I'm now hovering at 12.9. I'm 5'8. body fat is now 14%. rough lifts deadlift from 85kg to 95kg (6) bench from 95 to 105 (6) squat from 90 to 100 (6) (i have legs like twigs!) I'll post more later. My diet has let me down in terms of bulking but tbh im not too fussed as I've recently got into muay thai and could stand to be leaner. i'll likely run an epi cycle later this year to compare.

Also, you could look into running a mdht product, STS646, Methyl Rage, ect. My last cycle which included SD, i pulsed STS646 before workouts, and the increased energy and focus i got in the gym was great. I wish i stocked up on STS646, now

Interesting post, could be usefull for my future cycles. I got lethargy off Epi, really got me down. Didn't feel like doing anything at all, mood was proper down but strength went right up as did weight, strange. Agree with the Stim's though, they are definately on my list for any future cycles if and when lethargy kicks in, I have a feeling it's a dead cert with me lol. Hope the rest of the cycle goes well mate, I'd like to try SD one day

Cheers Body- may look into the STS. Might just go the cheap route and get off it on caffiene instead! Danaj- yeah lethargy is definitely one to watch out for i would think, esp if you suffered on Epi. SD craves carbs so I find I'm okay if I have something decent in that regard pre-workout and in the mornings. I'm going to run Epi soon and see if the lean gains are preferable. The strength on SD is impressive though.

Ed, cheers matey! Yea, on the Epi I found that I could eat something and up my water and it would subside, so this will be something to get used to on SD I wiuld imagine. Epi is a nice cycle, how long are you planning, 6 weeks? I only ran 4 to see if my body reacted, and it was fine apart from libido loss and lethargy. Strength was impressive (first steroid) so gains were good. I would run it again, but I want to bulk and feel SD for 3 weeks would be better for me.

Hello ed1coupe, I am comming towards the end of my 3rd week in a 6 week Epi cycle, looks like as far as height & BF we are very similar. Am quite satisfied with what I have put on so far, from the weigh-in Sunday I had put on ~ 3.5lbs over the past 2 weeks. Will be happy with another 1.5lbs this week. They are not fantastic figures but good compared to what I was doing before. Will be mega happy if after the end of the 9 weeks have made 10 lbs. What SERM are you using mate. I have both to hand and at the mo and are planning to use NOLVA. Interesting post early on about SERM's, just wondering what's your thoughts on this mate: http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/m_2783800/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm#2788157 (QUOTE: if epistane works as claimed then no PCT should be required. (lets just say thats a big question mark) its generally unwise to use nolva with designer steroids as most of them are progestins or have progestenic metabolites. Clomid is superior for PCT anyways and unlike tamoxifen does not upregulate the PgR. UN-QUOTE) No offence to "macrophage", just interested in what other peoples thoughts are as well... Cheers & hope your gains keep comming Dude.. ORIGINAL: ed1coupe Cheers Celt. Think I may have to add a stim for the last week or my boss is going to start asking questions! Godfather: I ran Epi and used Nolva for PCT on the 21 day protocol, nothing bad to report for me...

would ephedrine and caffeine be an acceptable stim to combat any lethargy issues? i find i am fairly tolerent of it so don't suffer sides.

I'd sayso Roots... I have taken pro-plus on the odd occasion if I've worked late or generally felt rather tired, about 1 hour before workout and then in the gym I was tip-top, so with Eph too I imagine it would be nice

It's just a case of not getting hooked on it I guess eh lol Warrenting it and 'relying' on it are two different things aren't they, that's why I'm only choosing caffeine tablets as and when I feel bolloxed Tis' a rather nice thing to have as a pick-me-up though, I must admit

Godfather- I'm going to run a 3 week clomid pct mate unless i get signs of gyno at which point i'll introduce nolva. im running prov atm to keep my balls in check also. Danaj- Yeah I'm planning a 6 week Epi course mate. Lean me out a little. I hope lethargy will be lower than SD. I'll start on 30mg and go from there I think.

put on a couple of pounds since last post. back pumps starting to get quite annoying now. only 6 days left though. Spots appearing at this point but thats likely down to me being slack with water intake
