Running or Road Cycling? - 15 June 2008 20:53
Am looking at increasing my already good fitness level. I have a road bike which I haven't used for a while so was thinking of getting back on that (i go mountain biking, but it's not the same as hardcore road riding).. or is it more beneficial to get on the road and do some running?? Both would include interval sprints...

If running doesn't aggreviate your knees then go for it, although for me it does and I'm only 15 stones so my preference is cycling.

Running is definately better than cycling, unless the cycling was in a forest with all the hills, thats a killer

it doesnt matter what cardio you do,its the intensity you do it at,ie if you run for an hour and your HR is 140bpm,or cycle for an hr and your HR is 170bpm,then the cycling is better and visa versa.
