i need some help with my diet, im struggling to eat due to being unable to cook, most of the time im in a rush so find i have to opt for quick soloutions as a meal. Im running out of idea's I've been eating alot of that microwaveable uncle bens rice in sachets are these ok? Really struggling to get any solid form of protien down, just been necking tuna but its getting rank. Also i can't face eating any form of brown bread at the minute, i find it really dry and just not pleasent, is white ok? its the only bread i like eating? Any ideas will be grateful thanks

I know the feeling you have as i was fairly similar to that, although being 100% honest, the short time it takes to prepare something half decent is available to most people if they really want it. For me i just could'nt be arsed cooking stuff, maybe that's the same for you if you are totally honest with yourself!? You can still get plenty of protein without cooking though. You've already mentioned tuna, but also prepacked chicken is a great quick and easy form of getting protein in. As for the tuna, why not try some variations, i got into having tuna mixed with reduced fat coleslaw, tuna with tined pineapple, etc etc.. Or tuna sandwiches/rolls with various different fillings to vary the overall taste.

....as for your bread query, yes, white bread is fine.

Make shakes out of oats and water with things like quark or cottage cheese. Add in some angel delight to flavour. Eat eggs! - 5 egg whites with 2 whole eggs and 3 slices of toasted whoelmeal bread. - Omelettes packed with veg Tuna or salmon mixed with light mayo and salad and some rice cakes or oatcakes on the side Mackerel and salad inside toasted wholemeal bread Sandwiches - chicken, turkey, beef etc The list is endless I only eat one cooked meal per day

Nowt wrong with a quark shake. I bring one to work with me everyday. Not the nicest thing in the world, but it's 35g's of slow release protein down the hatch in 2 minutes!

Bruiser, I too get sick and tired of tuna etc, I just find changing up every now and then gives a new life to the same old food. Do you like any other fish that can be eaten cold? I also just buy packs of fresh chicken breast and cook the night before, that way I can change the seasoning each time to spice things up. I am not sure if its your cup of tea but I also cook a huge pot of bolognaise each week and eat that cold with rice or pasta throughout the week.

Yeah to be honest im not a great cook, i don't have the patients for it and i can't really think straight when it comes to choosing what to cook and how to cook it. It just scrambles my brain! But yeh i eat tinned mackrell fillets in spicy tomato sauce these are nice on toast.. I love bolognaise but is this a good source of quality protein? I love eating rice, (is the microwave uncle bens ok?) not so keen on pasta unless it has a sauce on it.. i think the main problem im having is that when i go food shopping i buy the same old stuff week in week out, hence bored of the diet and not really sure on what new things to buy and try? I eat cottage cheese but what the hell is quark?? I think cooking the night before and re-heating is the best choice for me.. any more re-heat meal ideas? chicken curry ok? Thanks with the help so far
