As far as i'm aware its meant to help energy levels. I had some 10mg tabs but that's not a very big dose to notice much. I was told you can pick up some 100mg coq10 in boots for 4.99 and they have a 100% money back garuentee if you don't feel an increase in energy. So a free pickup if you can be bothered to return the packaging afterwards.

It's meant to help with cardio...never heard the back pumps thing. It did improve my cardio fitness when I tried it.

I've only ever seen it at 30mg at mp etc, where do you get the 100mg at a reasonable price for assessing its use? Tried boots its nearly £20 for 30 tabs.

It's quite cheap in Tesco but it's the 30mg they sell. It helps convert food energy into energy in the mitochondria.

I dont think its to combat back pumps, i think they are mistaking why they are using it. People take it along with certain OTC steroids as Red Yeast Rice is used to keep lipid values in check. A side effect of RYR is that it lowers CoQ10 levels, thus further supplementation of CoQ10 is required to restore required levels.

I work in pharmacy and it amazes Me that Doctor's prescribe statins and fail to prescribe CoQ10 alongside it. Many pharmacists know how statins (or RYR which has the same effect) require extra supplementation, but on the whole say nothing about it as people think that they are "on the make" by trying to sell something extra... this can increase the risk of heart disease. Typically retarded health service. Potassium and taurine allegedly help with back pumps, though. Not enough potasssium in bananas, get some from the chemist. Also check your sodium levels aren't too high, and try stretching your hamstrings too, can help. DD
