Breakfast Shake/smoothie... - 20 June 2008 12:55
Well, got myself a cheap hand blender, and made this thismorning:

400ml Skimmed milk
40g Nutrisport 90+
1 tbl spoon PB
0.5 tbl spoon honey
1 banana
100g powder oats

Can you think of anything else to add, change on it? Never done the whole shake thing from breakfast before, but have to say it was yummy, and only took 1 min to make....

Yeah that's very similar to my breakfast smoothie. Bloody marvellous isn't it.

It's also really nice if you substitute the banana for a handful of strawberries and add a capful of vanilla essence.

Really any fruit will do, but citrus doesn't work quite as well as others.

Cinamon is nice too. Can also swap honey for maple syrup. Also try low fat greek yogurt.

Starting to consider If I should have these in the mornings, bit better than a plain whey/ceasin/oats shake. Might try it tomorrow morning again.

Cinamon is nice too.

Agreed, one of my favourites is :-

Vanil**** 2-3 scoops
Oats
Apples ( tinned normally)
Cinnamon
Raisins
Water and Semi-skimmed milk.

edit also have a spoon full of the bio culture type Yoghurt stuff too.
Tastes a bit like melted Ice-cream and apple pie .

No dont it will ruin it, best to down the creatine in one shot then have the shake after to discard the taste.

I will try one of these later, just got some powdered oats in.

Any body here have any good low(ish)-carb suggestions? My limited creativity has thus far only produced protein powder + peanut butter and milk/water.

I sometimes skip the peanut butter and go with tablespoon of flax or olive oil.
