Lifting Belts .........? - 20 June 2008 20:25
hi guys just wondered what your are opinions are on the best type of belts ... tapered or standard 4 inch? never had any back problems and want to keep it that way. thanks for your input.

To be honest, i'd say that keeping your lifting form in check will have much more to do with stopping back problems than wearing a belt will.

PB's (88kg-natural)
Squat - 135kg
Bench - 125kg x 2
Deadlift - 230kg

Yeah totally agree mate i put great importance into good form you only get one body after all just fancy a belt for sqauts and deadlift, theres a lot of opinions as to which are better than the others out there just wondered what peeps generally use

when going really heavy you need a belt especially on squat and deadlift

really heavy means really heavy though

i recently ditched mine for deads and squats and have yet to snap my back so maybe give it a go without fella?

Yeah mate always have done deads and squats without one but really wanna push now love the strength gains the moves give your whole body and as i really start adding more KG i want to insure im keeping my good form ive never had any probs so far tho

if anything i personally found i got less back problems (lower back) since i ditched the belt, it's worth considering
