Burgen Soya and Linseed price increase - 20 June 2008 22:33
I've just paid £1.49 for a loaf, what an absolute joke.
I only get through 1 - 1.5 loaves a week but I'm looking at switching.

2 for £2 iceland.
Vogal is £1.20 on average a loaf...vs burgen around 1.40 i see it for usually?

Probably be able to save far more money changing your gas provider or something that very few people ever think of.
Saving 30p a week on bread probably won't do much, but every little helps.
Same with saving accounts, internet providers, Electricity etc.
My posts are all my opinion and based on current knowledge/understanding.

Bread going up 40p weekly is hardly that bad. You will easily be able to save that following the advice of Martin Lewis.
TBH it is annoying though, it costs sometimes 50p more than white bread

I make the dough in the breadmaker but I don't bake it in there, I put the dough in a loaf tin and bake it in the oven.

What capacity is your breadmaker? Mine does a 1.5lb-er and that's what I base my recipe on.
