A little mix for your ipod
-
21 June 2008 12:11
Last week I made a promo cd for the new Revolution Bar in town that I will be DJing at very soon. I made an mp3 of it to listen to on my ipod while at the gym. Being the generous chap I am, I've uploaded it so that the good people of MT can enjoy it as well. It's only a short 45 minute mix, but just about long enough for a quick session on the irons. Tracklisting as follows, o1. Funk Green Dogs - Reach For Me (TV Rock & Dirty South Remix) o2. Roisin Murphy - Overpowered (Seamus Haji Remix) o3. Marco Demark - Tiny Dancer (Deadmau5 Remix) o4. Eric Prydz - Pjanoo o5. Funkerman - Speed Up (ATFC's 0-60 Extended Remix) o6. Calvin Harris - Merrymaking At My Home Place (Deadmanu5 Remix) o7. Wolfgang Gartner - Montezuma o8. Sebastian Ingrosso - Stockholm Disco http://rapidshare.com/files/123989907/o1-revolution_bar_promo__mixed_by_david_wainwright.mp3.html If enough people enjoy it, I will regularly post up my mixes as I make a new one to listen to every couple of weeks. Comments welcome

I don't know if I'll like it, but very thoughtful nonetheless. Cheers.

ORIGINAL: BencherRdg Cheers for that . I take it you're a bit of an Eric Prydz fan....? Saw him play in Edinburgh last year and at Mambo in Ibiza few couple of years ago live on Radio 1 yeah his sets are awesome. I'm a big Carl Cox fan as well, off to the closing parties 15th of sept for 10 days. it's gonna be messy. I prefer to play a little heavier than the mix I've uploaded, but no doubt it would be a bit much for the punters in Revolution and users of MT alike! I take it you like to do a bit of clubbing yourself?

Carl Cox is a good DJ for sure, but I saw him doing a head to head with Laurent Garnier at 'The End' in London a few years back, and Garnier wiped the floor with him. It was almost embarrassing to be honest. I was quite shocked at the gulf in abililty between the two. I went with some really fervant Cox fans too, and they were saying that Garnier made Cox sound like an amateur at school disco. I'm about half way through this mix though, and it's really good.

We occasionally have Greg Vickers playing at Revolution in Lancaster, unfortunately never seen him as the queue was a joke last time and coulnt be arsed to wait! Liking this tho. I Like the stuff i have heard produced/rexied by Deadmou5. Off to Ibiza 26th July (again!!!) cant wait (again!!) Yeah enjoy clubbing dont get to much that often, however in last months seen Tom Novy and Steve Angello @ Paradise Factory and Crookers @ Sankeys.

Greg Vickers is immense. Saw him down in Bournemouth a couple of times for Tribal Gathering events. Both times, for me, he upstaged the headlining dj's. I'll download this mix and give you my critical opinion. I'm a massive dance music fan.

i much prefer prydz stuff that he releases under his pryda name or cirrez d. prydz played at my housemates night in leeds last year and played under cirrez d but insisted eric prydz name was on the posters/flyers too for brand reasons, he played some real driving techno, really played the crowd too. really nice bloke too, last time he was supposed to play he missed his ferry, so had to get a train to the airport and buy a plane ticket and bottled it at the last minute as he's scared of flying so missed out on a £6k payday! i'll d/l the mix now and leave some feedback, tracklisting looks ok not what i'd usually train too but will give it a whirl

Am I stupid or what. Only enter symbols attached to a cat. They all have as far as I can tell and yet it only takes 4 characters. How many people does this sort of hassle put off.
