Abs Workout - 21 June 2008 13:22
Hi guys,

I find it difficult training the Abs properly. My lower back starts to hurt like hell. Leg raises are ok but can only do so many at the moment. Do you guys have any good abs workouts?

Do you have a lower back problem mate, lower back comes into play in all or most ab exercises as far as im aware, i have a back problem anyway but its healing so i can just about do crucnhes etc, have you tried cable crunches this way you can progressive add weight each session and make you abs grow and get bigger, remember your abs are like your other muscles and will respond to adding weight progressively.

Not tried that yet mate but will give it a shot. Not really had any major issues with my back in the past but this is a right pain in the a**.

Cheers for the advice

If you've got some back problems too, try doing some core work as well. Work the deeper muscles which help to stabalise spine. Things like planks and bird dogs.
