Protein - 21 June 2008 19:28
Should I be having as much protein on the days off I have from the gym?

I go 3 days a week, and take most of it on workout days . around 160g

I only take 50 or something on days off. Should I be taking it everyday high amounts?

IMO yes because you will need the protein to rebuild the damaged cells from training. also protein cannot be stored the same way that fat can be, so you will need to keep protein intake up because your body will use your muscles if you dont.

Make sure protein stays high I aim for 300g per day. Some people say lower carbs on non trannign days some dont. Also some do carb cut off at last meal again some dont.

I'm 155lbs, 6ft 2, 200g is my main aim. Anything under 160g and im annoyed and consider it a bad day.

Cutting, if i bulk ill aim for 300g i think.
My posts are all my opinion and based on current knowledge/understanding.

How do you get your protein so high up?

I'm thinking about changing my whey protein, but it would get very expensive eventually to have 2-3 times a day.

My nutrtionist had told me to stay away from dairy but I'm trying to ignore that advice because of the eggs and milk, although I just moved onto soy milk

She said it would help with sinus problems I've been experiencing, but she recommends it to most people to stop. I don't really want to cut it out completely. I guess I could go soy protein and soy milk.

I just wondered how everybody manages to afford the tubs of whey protein, if they are students/unemployed. If I drank 2-3 a day it would be gone in two weeks. I guess I can boost some up with tins of fish and more almonds as snacks

Eggs shouldn't be a problem
Milk is mucus forming, going dairy free should help alot. Milk also gives me acne
