-
21 June 2008 21:49
I'm 94kg not trying to get to a target weight as such but lean up a bit for holiday on 26th July (Ive put bulking on hold for 6 weeks). 4x40min cardio per week. twice on push bike rough 120bpm, and similar on cross trainer in gym. Ive reduced carb cals a bit and started clen monday. How does this sound? Pics here http://www.muscletalk.co.uk/m_2781134/mpage_1/key_/tm.htm 29, 5'9 ish if thats of any relevance! Rodge

I was wondering, just a quick question really. If, I were to do: Monday: Weights Tuesday: Cardio Wednesday: Weights Thursday: Cardio Friday: Weights Now, if I instead did cardio everyday instead, surely that would optimise fat loss, but would I lose A LOT of muscle? Just wondering how important weights for losing fat really is. (Sorry to cut in, but didn't feel the need to start a new thread)

You need to train with weights to hold onto the muscle while you are in calorie defecit mate, if not you will lose mausle and fat.

ORIGINAL: BencherRdg You need to train with weights to hold onto the muscle while you are in calorie defecit mate, if not you will lose mausle and fat. Oh I see, could I do cardio after weights? Though, that raises another question, people tell me that you shouldn't really lose more than 2lbs per week, because it's likely to be muscle, so if I did cardio three times a week, and resistance three times a week, and had Sundays off, and I'm still losing 2lbs per week, what's the point of doing cardio after resistance?
