Smelly Creatine - 22 June 2008 13:40
Ive had a tub of creatine for a while now, say around 3 months opend.

Ive noticed its starting to give off a smell. A little fishy! its horrid.

Anyone know if creatine does this? Or is this a sign of it being impure?
Thanks

You say opened - lid off or just being used? Where's it stored? If it's in a kitchen (rich smells etc) and the container is not air tight and we know Creatine asbsorbs moisture then it WILL absorb smells from the air. Under ideal conditions (cool, dry, dark, etc, etc) it shouldn't smell of anything at all. It might be that you've had it open 3 months but it's also much older prior to you buying it.
