Low carbs - always hungry. - 22 June 2008 13:42
Trying to decrease the carbs a bit because the bodyfat wa slowly creeping up. I usually have an ample amount of chicken in replacement for the carbs...but I can't keep eating a farmload everyday. I'm guessing that fibrous veg will fill me up for longer as I'm always feeling hungry on low carbs. What did you guys that went from bulking to cutting do to meet your appetite?

cut down carbs slowly, dont just drop right down suddenly

plenty of veg and salad will fill you up a bit, drink plenty of water

also make sure the carbs you are eating are complex, wholemeal, whole grain etc

Fats leave you feeling fuller, but remember they are 9 calories per gram.

If you are in ketosis, i.e perhaps 60g carbs max per day, your appetite will naturally disappear, but it takes a few days to get into it.

And yup, lots of water, and perhaps a thermogenic or similar might help suppress hunger pangs.
