neil armstrong/for the younguns he was the 1st man to walk on the moon - 22 June 2008 16:20
This is apparently true

On July 20, 1969, as commander of the Apollo 11 lunar>module, Neil Armstrong was the first person to set foot on the moon.

His first words after stepping on the moon, 'that's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind,' were televised to earth and heard by millions.

But just before he re-entered the lander, he made the enigmatic remark, ‘good luck, mr gorsky.'

Many people at NASA thought it was a casual remark concerning some rival soviet cosmonaut.

However, upon checking, there was no gorsky in either the Russian or American space programs.

Over the years many people questioned armstrong as to what the 'good luck, mr. gorsky... statement meant, but Armstrong always just smiled.

On July 5, 1995, in Tampa bay, Florida , while answering questions following a speech, a reporter brought up the 26-year-old question to Armstrong. This time he finally responded.

Mr. Gorsky had died, so neil armstrong felt he could answer the question.

In 1938 when he was a kid in a small midwest town he was playing baseball with a friend in the backyard.

His friend hit the ball which landed in his neighbour’s yard by the bedroom windows.

His neighbours were Mr. and Mrs. Gorsky.

As he leaned down to pick up the ball, young Armstrong heard Mrs. Gorsky shouting at Mr. Gorsky.

'Sex! you want sex?! You’ll get sex when the kid next door walks on the moon!'

Is that actually true?

If so, absolute blinder of a story!

Nice story, although the Moon landings were faked. The images are riddled with errors.

Probably not a true story, but still good none the less.

@wayne. What do you mean the moon-landings aren't real? Are you being serious?

wayne. What do you mean the moon-landings aren't real? Are you being serious?

The images were totally fabricated. Fact. Whether or not they attempted to go there or not is a different matter. Why has nobody been back since? Compare technology now to what it was like back in 1969. I have an interesting book on the subject ("Dark Moon").

Wow thats really interesting. I'm not really interested in space, but there's nothing like a good conspiracy theory.

I may do a bit of digging and bring it up tomorrow at work. Should cause a raging argument to brighten up the day.

I, like Mos Def, don't believe we went to the moon.

Smoke and mirrors. America's speciality.

Not that I want to get into such a debate here. It's been done to death, and I know what I believe. We never went.

The quote may not be true but.....

The late 60's, early 70's were a golden age for aviation and space. The technology was most definitely there.
Have a look at the last time an air speed record was broken.
At the height of the 'Cold War' it is pretty much inconceivable that the USA could have faked something like this without the Soviets noticeing. It was also the golden age of the spy, the spy plane and the spy sattelite.
It would have been easier to go to the moon than to fake it.

Also, if there was no landing, how did the retroreflector array for the Lunar Laser Ranging Experiment get there?

I remember watching an interesting documentary that claimed the moon landing was faked.Lots of good points were brought up,that i must admit, did give me reason to question wether it really did happen.

Things like, why did the flag blow when there is no atmosphere or wind on the moon?.And how the shadows from Armstrong were in fact impossible due to the location of the sun etc..

I am still undecided about it really.

Yet not once single person out of the 500,000 involved in Apollo has every come forward to say, sorry it was all fake?

The images were totally fabricated. Fact.

By fact you mean in your opinion.

Whether or not they attempted to go there or not is a different matter. Why has nobody been back since?

Because we already went there and there hasn't been a good enough reason to justify the cost of going back.

Compare technology now to what it was like back in 1969.

They had the technology to put men in orbit and return them to earth, why is it so hard to believe we went to the moon and back?

I've seen that one in WH Smiths, it comes with a tin foil hat.

Consider that the shuttle has only travelled a fraction of the distance claimed for the Apollo missions. There is SO much inconsistency in the official narrative that it defies belief.

And once you realise that, you can start looking at buildings that go sheesh kebab without the kebab stick.

The risk and cost would out weigh rewards with that one.

Only a few ever need know all. The engineers and scientists sat glued to monitors and data.

A few Appolo astronauts have apparently met unusual and untimely deaths.
