Exercise programmes
-

Hi there, I have recently recovered from reconstructive knee surjery from a parachuting accident. During my injury my weight incresed from 14st 7lbs to 17st. I have lost 7lb whilst carrying out my rehab, and would like to get back to where I was before the injury. I am unable to run as this will put stress on my knee. I have been given an eliptical trainer, and a rowing machine, which I intend to utilise, as I have been told they will put loww stress on my knee. I also have a road bike available. Can anyone suggest an exercise routine that will help me with my weight loss. Also can you advise on a dietry programme to chieve my goals. I am 46 years of age, and have always been very active. Regards, GT

Have you ever thought of Tai Chi or Yoga for losing a bit of weight with no stress at all on your knee untill recovery.

I am trying to strengthen my quadraseps and legs, as well as reduce my weight and increase my overall condition. I would be grateful of any suggestions as to length of exercise, type, and how I should adjust my diet. Regards, GT
