Bulk Supplements Direct Review - WPC & MPC - 23 June 2008 07:58
Having previously boughts some very good aminos from BSD, the nice blokes there sent me some free samples of their unflavoured protein.

Now I'm a very fussy bugger when it comes to protein as I suffer slighly with IBS, so it was with some trepidation that I trialed this stuff.

First off, I tried the normal whey (82%). I usually have my whey from another well known company who I have always found good, but a little slow on delivery etc.

The BSD whey, looked, well like whey and when mixed with water in a shaked dissolved totally after a few shakes. Taste wise, it's actually very nice, like a skimmed milk - good stuff!

I then tried the MPC which I would use in place of Caesin and again, this mixed well and didn't taste chalky like some others I have tried.

All in all, I'm very impressed, both proteins tasted fine and mixed without any difficulty and more importantly they were gentle on my stomach.

As a final recommendation, I just placed an order for both.

Thanks Traps and glad you liked it.

One thing that is becoming apparent from feedback is how little discomfort our WPC causes for people who have digestion/stomach issues with Whey in general.

Id like to express my thanks also to BSD for both the whey concentrate and MPC samples they kindly sent for me to review

I started with BSD unflavoured whey concentrated 82% which i mixed with ease in my shaker, took no effort and not a lump to be seen, mixibility was top notch. As for taste it wasnt like other unflavoured whey powders ive tried in the past, most of which ive really had to force down me as im not keen on the overall taste without adding flavourings, but, i was really suprised at how smooth and well tasting BSDs whey powder was. I could easily buy this protein powder and consume it without reaching for the coco powder or robinsons for milk, was a total shock to be fair. Overall its a outstanding whey powder with a great protein aswell as high amino acid content. Definately worth a look!

As the for MPC sample this is a tricky one for me to review as ive never tried this type of protein powder before so i cant compare it with other brands. All i can say is that it mixed fine with my shaker, took only afew more shakes to mix than the whey concentrate. The unflavoured taste wasnt for me tho, struggled slightly, but after a single scoop of coco powder it was a completely different ball game.

Top quality products from a top quality company

Did you mix with water or milk? Got my free samples and contimplating what to mix it with. Water would be easier TBH.

Preference more than anything but majority have taken it with Water. When we tested all the wheys and other proteins; we used Milk and Water (separately) to ensure mixability was fine.

Shake or Whisk will also be fine to get it clump free.

Hope that helps

always mix your protein powders with water, it mite effect the taste slightly and alittle more flavouring mite be need but you avoid the high sugar levels of milk this way
