I've lost 1 and a half stone this year but my body fat is still measuring practically the same as when i began. why is this even tho coz surely i've lost 1.7 stones of body fat? xx

How are you measuring your bodyfat and are you using the same appliance as you did at the beginning of the year? I should hope that after losing 1 1/2 stone - yes a fair proportion of that should be bodyfat!!

did you do all your tape measurements before you lost the weight? I'm sure you've dropped a decent amount of body fat - are you using scales to do this? If so make sure you measure at the same time of day - mine vary widely even if I do that so I use 3 point callipers aswell.

well i use the scales at boots that measure hight, weight & BMI ... even when i was heavier i had a % that was lower than i am now! i've always measured my weight & BMI on mondays at lunch time. before i've eaten lunch, and breakfast is just fruit or porridge so nothing really that heavy. it cant be the water i drink coz surely that will be included in my weight rather than fat? the machine asks you to grip these sensors and sends some kind of shock waves thru ur body? who knows ... i just dont get it .... the traning i do varies .. i mainly do cardio but i have over the past 2 months or so got into weights to tone up ... i do mainly my arms, back chest & shoulders twice a week and legs twice a week. where am i going wrong, why is my BMI still high after losing a fair bit of weight???

Hi, I've always found those machines very inaccurate. I would use 3 point callipers if I was you, much more accurate and you can do it at home when ever you want. Hope this helps. Should have lost some body fat with that amount of weight loss?? Going down a dress size is a result though Keep up the good work.

As long as you can see improvments, fcuk the scales! Your obviously doing something right if youve gone down a dress size.
ORIGINAL: jango Personally I think this testicle tenderness is due to my recent return to AM cardio. I do it naked on a recumbent bike and my gonads tend to flop about.

I agree, its all good as long as you have visible results. The only concern I would have is if you sustained a significant drop in muscle. You said you have been weight training for the last two months, has your strength dropped significantly during that time?
