Whats the norm?
-
23 June 2008 22:02
Brief history.. i have only been lifting a short while (8month) and have been advised from supplier/gym mate that i should really not be doing more than 4iu everyday.. I see so many on here saying 12 at least eod.. I think the ppl who have advised me say this as i am a typical hardgainer.. 5,11 and 11.7 stone.. I am already cut pretty well now but i want SIZE.. I eat a lot and train a lot.. Take protein and carb shakes at different times of the day.. If i take HGH.. I was thinking.. Preparing with supply of suppliments prior.. Take Test... starting 2 weeks prior to GH Begin GH at 8iu EOD Finish Test and GH at the same time. Can feel the big fingers pointing an shouting N00b but i take your advise very serious as i believe you guys will have more insight than the guy gobbing off in the steam room.. Cheers

dude i been lifting about 8 years and been on steroids for about 4 on and off. Still not touched growth as i am not at that stage yet. It is so expensive and the results so subtle that its not worth it for me yet. Lift natural for a few years, then if you feel up for it turn to steroids, when you have exhausted all gains you can get from aas THINK about HGH then and not before. Its simply not worth it yet budy.

firstly.. cheers for reply. I agree i have not been lifting long.. I have seen gains.. well everyone else has.. I have seemed to hit that wall.. i always lift to positive negative failure assisted.. I train 4 times a week with an abs an core class twice weekly on top.. I just feel like i have really just cut up with no significant gain.. My gym partner has been training about 16 years and is a paramedic.. he has done a few courses and said he would inject for me as i hate needles.. i am that slim i wold almost def hit a bone lol.. I spend a fortune on supplements anyway and i put in 100% into my workout.. I see your point of view and maybe i am just trying to rush something thats takes years.. Thanks again.

Bro it's unlikely you have hit a wall after only 8 months of training and really don't think that HGH and more juice is the answer. Maybe if you posted your workout/diet/sleep pattern etc it may give a better idea of what you you need to do and most importantly how old are you?
I came into this world without my permssion and I'll leave it the exact same way!................Quothe the Raven..............Nevermore

I am 30 I would like to make up what i am lifting as its terrible but hey.. if i want an honest answer i need to be honest Monday..Chest an Biceps Tuesday.. Shoulders and triceps Thurs.. back and Biceps Friday.. Legs, stomach and triceps Chest as above.. Flat 20k/Incline 15k/Decline 25k/Flies.. Alternate weekly with bar/bell.. Biceps.. Bar curl upto 12.5k.. Hammer curl to 12k positive/neg failure alternating each week between bar/hammer back.. Pull ups (unassisted).. Seated Row 40k.. Lat pull down (wide and close grip).. T-Bar triceps.. various cable workouts upto 60k pull down and 40k on the over head lift.. Sometimes use the curling bar on bench and the machine which is like doing dips to body weight. Shoulders.. seated Shoulder press 25k, Bell raises 12k(front,side), Reverse Fly (machine 60k).. Sometimes do the bell press 14k and also shrugs 25k and use the calf raise machine. Legs.. Minimal really.. calf raise, Squats and dead lift The above is varied due to the fact i sometimes train alone and shifts vary. Sleep is ok and i am looking at bigger calorie shakes..

thats the thing man, you need to eat like a beast if you are going to grow like a beast. Essentialy your forcing your body to do something it dont want to. It takes hard-core workouts, enough sleep(my week point) and constant nutrition to grow. Only sups you need are protein, vitamins, efa's and maybe creatine. The money you spend on the rest would be better spent on good quality food. Forget growth for several years yet.

A quick one which is not for this forum.. I hardly touch legs.. how important is it i do legs.. i understand they are huge muscle groups and can also promote growth upper body.

Legs are just as important as any other muscle imo your quads are massive muscles! I had to put and extra effort into legs as I they were a real weak point when I first started
