Anyone trained in Bangkok? - 24 June 2008 14:09
I'm in Thailand for a fortnight in August.

I'm unsure wether to stay in Bangkok for the entire duration, and as such, probably won't be able to commit myself to a full program (not this time round anyway).

Are there any schools that are cool with beginner farangs paying on a session basis?

I've looked at this one:

Any input?

I'm prepared to hand over the baht for perosnal training sessions.

I went over to Koh Samui and trained for a week - about 2 months back.

WMC gym, Lamai Beach.

Was really good; close to the beach - so something to do when not training. Lots of competitors from 'The Contender' train there; plus a buch of Brits and Aussies who are sponsored and so there long term.

I'd not trained in Thailand beofre, and found this place to be great.

Other places I had recommended were:

Fairtex - sites in Pattaya and Bangkok. Expensive, 5 star hotel-type, and excellent training.
Kewsumrit (dodby spelling) in Bangkok - favored by my MT coach (Sean Toomey) - meant to be great.

You luck sod - bet you'll have a ball!

I was in Pattaya a couple of years ago and I'll tell you what, there's plenty of things going on their to help you stay up all night and leave you with no energy for training!!!!
I admire many people for how they live their lives But the people I admire the most are those people who refuse to give up.
