BECOMING A PT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
24 June 2008 16:25
Hi gang, just like to say am loving the forum, and this is my first post. Not sure if im in the right section as im not new to the world of exercise but am hoping to be new in the world of personel training. I've been going to the gym on and off for about 15 years now and over that period have learnt a lot. So as i am in a dead end job that i dont enjoy i thought i would venture into becoming a personal trainer. Now i know this takes time ( and a lot of money ) but am prepared to do this if it gets me where i want, my only concern is i have a family, a morgage and lots of bills to pay and am concerned at the low pay which comes with this job. I know its not all about money but i gotta be able to pay them bills. I have noticed that LA Fitness are recruiting Personal Trainers with a starting salary of 30k a year. What i would like to know is wheres the catch, i just dont belive they they are prepared to pay people nearly twice as much as anyone else. if somebody that works for them or knows somebody can you explain what they really pay cus its never that easy. Thanks. Sean
