as a result of the credit crunch etc petrol, living costs, basics etc, i only buy a multivit, creatine and unflavoured whey, but i seem to spend so much on food,. on average, per week how much u guys spending on YOURSELVES for food and drink per week

i'm a student so not always got much money

can bulk on good clean foods, 3250 cals 200g+ protein per day for about £30 a week

Too much, I was on the dole for fifteen months and could no way afford it. Only just got back into it after being in my current job and losing 25lbs of weight..

Anyway £50 easily, doing a ten quid plus shop every night apart from weekends..

Average day:

£2.00 Chicken, £0.50 Rice, £1.00 Sardines, £1.10 Tuna, £1.20 Milk, £0.40 Whey, £0.40 Banana's, £0.50 Broccoli, £0.30 Bread, £0.30 Potato's

Total: £7.80 per day (£54.60 Per Week)

Holy S**t!! No wonder I am always broke!!!

30-40 a week. But stopped smoking and drinking a few months back, so I dont see it as costing me anything extra.

I'd put money on the fact that my £15 buys me more total calories than your spend.

A taste for everyday ingredients which are available in bulk as well as not eating meat helps a lot.....

30p tin of tuna
90p 450g cottage cheese
58p wholemeal loaf
70p tin of mackerel
2kg mixed veg £1.20

What does your typical day of meals look like daveo?


Im probably around the £25-30 mark

about £20, but i dnt have to buy every meal

Daily diet of:
Breakfast(45p):
100g soya mince = 26p
200ml milk = 9p
2x toast = 10p(perhaps)

Lunch(70p):
2x pitta bread = 15p
100g chicken = 35p
salad = ~20p i guess (prob more actually!)


Dinner(87p):
Chilli = 40p
jar = 7p
Onion = 5p?
400g veg = 35p


Nightitme meal(~80p):
Large salad = 40p? prob far more, its hugeee.
Pilchards = 25-40p


Coffee/coke/other condiments = 40p i guess(prob more...)

£3.20+ a day?
£22.40 a week
Prob £25.

5 dollars on almonds
4 dollars bananas
4 dollars oranges
3 dollars for plums
2 dollars wholewheat bread
6 dollars on wholewheat pasta
12 dollars 6 litres of soy milk
8 dollars on various soups

every 2-3 weeks tub of whey protein around $40.00.

Every weeks total is around $64 which is about 30 pounds. 300 dollars a month total with the whey which is 150 pounds a month

Wow, food seems fairly cheap in the UK.

My bill is around the equivalent of 60 pounds. Though it seems we pay higher prices here in Denmark than you guys do.
