calories - 24 June 2008 21:35
when is the best times to have a large hit of calories. i am trying to put on lean muscle and my calorie intake is
breakfast - 550
mid-morning - 400
lunch - 400
pre-workout - 500
post-workout 650
dinner - 300
evening - 150

total - 2950

all advice will be greatly appreciated

I once read that you COULD take upto 70% of your daily calories after weight training without it effecting fat levels. Not sure how true this is burt based on that, I would assume to take an increase in calories in your PWO Shake

Would like to get some more info on this comment, would be great if it was true!!

For OP personally I believe breakfast, Pre and PWO are the best times to slam in the cals.

From what I recall it was from the Muscle Media Supplement Review when they talked about the Anabolic Burst Cycling Diet "ABCD". They interviewed some guy who stated that, I'm pretty sure

It depends on how your metabolism is, you might be able to add mass at those stats with 2950 Cals ED you might not.

Do you know the daily breakdown of those calories ? I.e how much Protein,fats,carbs ?

it means very little if you are not eating wnough

2900 kcals might be a little low for someone of your size
