-
25 June 2008 16:47
About 6 months ago i injured my wrist and it is just about better. Anyone got any tips on how to minimise strain on the wrist? Specific stretching etc? I have lost an awfull lot of muscle since i got inured. Anyone got a routine to put on muscle very quickly? I got a pullup bar, barbell and dumbells, could someone suggest a routine i should use? Also, what is the best protein powder to use? cheers fellas

I got wrist injuries as well mate. I use wraps, or gloves with wrist support. Really makes a difference! There is no routine that puts on muscle quickly, its just what you put in you get out! If you train hard and eat loads you will put on muscle faster. I would recommend buying bulk protein from somewhere like myprotein.co.uk, it work out alot more protein for your pound and is a good product as well.

Cheers for the advice! What is the best protein to buy at an affordable price? The problem with me is, i am very very lean! I could fish and chips allll day long and wouldn't put on a pound! If i missed out on a meal I would loose weight very quick, i am about 5'8 and weight just over 10 stone. Although I am very strong for my weight/body, i just don't really look it. Could someone please make a routine out for me? I want to make the best of my time, i have dumbells and barbells but no bench. I have a chin up bar as well. If someone could give me an idea of what i should be doing each day, what parts to train etc it would help me a great deal!

You sound like a hard gainer. Just protein is not going to help on its own, the most important thing is what you eat. And how much. And then with protein look for one with added carbs-calories. Like this: http://www.myprotein.co.uk/mp-max/weight-gain/weight-gainer-(6lb)/ but like I said what you eat is the most important thing to gaining and keeping muscle.
